Aurous, known as the Popcorn Time for music, and its Linux desktop client intend to be the next music streaming service to revolutionize the Internet

9 / 10 (1 Votes)

We all use some kind of music streaming service to listen to our favorite songs on our computer, whether Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer or any of the many others available, but none of them are totally free and without adverts.

Enjoy music however you like and for free.

That's why Aurous has arrived, with its desktop client for Linux, with the intention to become the king of streamed music via torrents, and overthrow the most used programs at present. And for the time being it's had a great reception among its users, despite all the important labels trying to shut it down.

Features of Aurous

  • Bring along your playlists from Spotify or any other service.
  • Play music that you've stored locally.
  • Possibility to search for songs by artist, genre and album.
  • Interface totally customizable to the user's liking.
