We all know how most Internet sites and mobile applications make money: through advertising. The thing is that on many occasions they are too invasive making the user experience too complicated when it comes to browsing or interacting with the app.

Adblocker for applications and web pages

Its name, AdFree, is quite clear. It's an app that we can configure as an adblocker on applications and websites. Although the truth is that was initially developed for a web model that has evolved a lot since then. We now no longer have to put up with pop-ups but basically new windows in our browser or videos playing in another tab.

This tool works on all the apps installed on our phone as well as the two major Android browsers at present: Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. Unfortunately, this app is getting old and its maintenance is somewhat unstable, therefore, you might be interested in looking for another alternative such as Adblock Plus or Adblock Browser.

Requirements and additional information:
  • Minimum operating system requirements: Android 4.0.1.
  • The installation of the app by means of the APK file requires the activation of the "Unknown sources" option within Settings>Applications.
