Amazon is one of the largest online marketplaces. There are millions of products, and the shipping conditions, especially those for Prime accounts, are excellent. However, at times, the product does not always arrive in one piece, or it may not be the one detailed in the product description. In many cases, the purchase may not be what we wanted. Whatever the reason, Amazon lets you return the product as long as it meets the necessary conditions. Making such a return may seem like a headache, but it is easier than you think.

One of the best ways to make a return on Amazon is through its application available for smartphones. Moreover, it is done in just a few steps.
- Install the Amazon app on your smartphone if you do not already have it, and log in with your account.
- Once inside, tap on the silhouette icon at the bottom of the screen. You will access your account options.
- Now, tap on the My Orders button displayed in the upper area.
- Find the order you want to return and tap on it.
- In the section Do you need help with the product? Tap on Return products.
- Choose the reason for the return. If you wish, you can also write a comment. Tap on Continue.
- Choose the refund method and, again, tap on Continue.
- Finally, select how to send the return. We usually recommend using Celeritas since there is no need to print a label.
If you have requested the return by mail, a courier will pick up the product within approximately one or two working days. If otherwise, you have selected the option to send it to a collection point, the app will show you a return deadline.
What is Amazon's refund policy?
Amazon does not have a strict return policy, but some requirements must be met for the company to accept the product and make the return and refund.
The main rule is that products must be returned in their original condition. That is, undamaged and complete. If the product arrives defective, you can also request a refund. But please remember to select the appropriate option during the process.
However, Amazon does not allow the return of some products, even if they are delivered brand new. Either for hygienic reasons, because they can deteriorate quickly (fresh produce, food, etc.), or, for example, because they are digital services, such as software licenses or similar.
You should also note that the return of some products is not handled by Amazon but by the seller, who may have their own conditions to accept the return.
How many days do I have, and how much does it cost to return an Amazon product?
Amazon returns must be made within 30 days of receiving the product. If the product is defective and over 30 days have passed, a warranty repair will be made instead. During the Christmas season, however, the return period is extended up to 3 months to help clients return those products purchased previously to give as gifts, for example, on Christmas Day or Three Kings' Day.
Returns on Amazon are free as long as the product does not match the item description, is defective, incompatible, or has any other manufacturer's defect. In some cases, for example, when we select that we simply no longer want it, Amazon may charge for the return. And the price of the return varies depending on the product and the type of shipment.
