Angry Birds was a rage in the world of mobile video games back then. To such an extent that it led to a franchise of games of all sorts for iOS and Android, that evolved from the original idea of shooting birds at pigs to racing games or titles based on Star Wars... they've even got their own movie and a cartoon series!
Angry Birds in real-time strategy mode
Among the genres that they hadn't yet covered, we had to point out real-time strategy but here comes this Angry Birds Islands to solve the situation: a game very similar to Clash of Clans in which we'll play in online multiplayer mode with the intention to save and protect the pigs abducted by monsters.
The gameplay is similar to the rest of games in this genre: we'll start off by establishing a tiny base or village from where we'll grow as we collect raw materials. The latter will help us to build new constructions and create workmen to construct them. Of course, we'll also have to create an army that will protect us against attacks and allow us to defeat our rivals.
Angry Birds vs Clash of Clans?
We'll start off on an island and we'll have to explore the other 9 available on our level. Level that once passed will take us to the next one that will provide us with access to more advanced soldiers and better constructions.
As usual in this kind of game for smartphones, we can build alliances with our friends and other players in order to complete our mission of protecting and saving all the pigs.
