Alternative client to F-Droid
F-Droid is one of the main app stores for Android where you can download open-code applications for free. However, the truth is that the F-Droid app leaves a little to be desired and that is why we are taking a look at Aurora Droid.
An optimized client for F-Droid
In Aurora Droid we have a client for downloading F-Droid applications which features a more intuitive user interface layout and more advanced functions than the original app. The client allows you to browse the different repositories and to more easily navigate the app catalog. The general esthetic resembles the good things about Google Play without needing a big display of resources.
These are the main features to be found on this alternative F-Droid client:

- Allows you to check out previous versions.
- View the different supported architectures for each application and the Android minimal versions that support each app.
Requirements and additional information:
- Minimum operating system requirements: Android 5.0.
- The installation of the app by means of the APK file requires the activation of the "Unknown sources" option within Settings>Applications.
