Maybe some of you remember those wonderful books published by Bantam some years ago. Instead of being usual old stories, these titles brought you into an immersive reading experience that turned you into the person responsible for the main character's destiny. Those books were really cool but now you can live something similar thanks to Choices: Stories You Play, a compendium of interactive graphic novels in which you're the owner of your own destiny. Or almost.
A choice can change everything.
How does it work?
First of all, you'll have to choose the kind of story you want to read. You can start off with fantasy or romance but from the menu, you'll be able to choose other genres. To read them you'll have to pay with in-game coins that you can purchase as you advance or with real-life money (you all know how this works).
And then what? Choose your character and his physical traits (depending on the story) and get stuck in. Just read and choose the most logical or craziest actions, bearing in mind that later on all your decisions will have consequences. Certain choices will reward you with prizes that can help you to continue advancing, as you'll need keys to unlock new chapters, and also diamonds to purchase stories or premium answers.
Fall in love, solve crimes or set out on epic adventures in visual interactive stories in which you'll be in control of everything.
Yes, sit back and enjoy. The fun thing about these games is taking your own decisions and following the story just as if it were real life, but if you want to direct it towards a certain ending, you'll have to resort to guides although basically ruins the whole sense of this adventure. There's also an online tool to hack the game to get hold of unlimited keys and diamonds. But that's up to you.
