YouTube is the online video platform par excellence. As you already know, it contains all sorts of contents: funny videos, music clips, sports, news, epic fails... and many of them are quite eye-catching, therefore, we might want to show them to someone on our phone or tablet at a given moment. The problem is that sometimes we don't have an Internet connection or we simply don't want to waste our data plan. What can we do then? Well, install an app that allows us to download videos from YouTube.

Sure you don't know how to download videos from YouTube to Android?

And one of them could well be this EasyTube, an app to download videos from this portal or simply watch them as if it were an unofficial YouTube client. These are the main features you can make the most of once you download its APK:

  • Access YouTube to watch the most interesting videos.
  • Download videos from YouTube straight on your Android terminal in several formats, also in audio format.
  • Videos sorted by category.
  • Integrated search engine for videos.
  • Useful download manager.

However, there's one major drawback. This Android app doesn't work anymore. But don't worry because there are plenty of decent alternatives here at Malavida, such as TubeMate or iTube which allow us to download videos from YouTube for free without any trouble to use their different functions.

EasyTube has stopped working but there are quite a few decent alternatives out there.

Despite the difficulties laid out by Google to prevent the download of videos from its site, this kind of app has evolved, allowing us to download the videos in several different resolutions, qualities, and file formats, as well as letting us rip the audio from the videos, turning them into great tools to downloads song from the Internet for free.

However, can we download any of these apps from Google Play? Obviously not. Because YouTube is owned by Google and therefore the giant G wants you to consume its contents online so that it can make money with its embedded adverts, which you won't view in any offline mode.

Requirements and additional information:
  • Minimum operating system requirements: Android 1.6.
  • The installation of the app by means of the APK file requires the activation of the "Unknown sources" option within Settings>Applications.
