Creative mode is one of the three game modes in Fortnite. This mode is designed to play at our own pace, without the pressure of having to play as well as possible to win the game. In the creative mode, we can either create our own island and build whatever we want on it, or connect to the island of another player and play.
To select the creative mode, from the home platform, tap on Change.

A mode selection screen will appear, and we must choose Creative and tap Accept.
Select Creative and press Accept
Now, we must tap Play.
Tap on Play to start
Finally, we must choose from:
- Create: To play and build our island but with no other people connected than us and the rest of the members of our group.
- Play: To play together with multiple players from all over the world.
- Island Code: To enter the code of an island and play directly on it, without having to go through the Creative mode central.

To start, the rest of the players in our group must also have tap Play. If we choose either of the first two options, we will appear in the central creative mode, a kind of room where there are several computer screens located next to an image of the corresponding island: they are portals.

This room changes its appearance every few weeks, so do not think you are in the wrong place because it looks different from the images we show you.
In this room, we will notice that one of the portals has our name above it: that is our island. If we enter that room, we can create whatever we want, as well as program different games with the huge range of options it offers.

On the other hand, the rest of the portals will take us to multiple islands created by other Fortnite players. It should be noted that these islands have the approval of Epic Games, so they usually have very refined game mechanics.

In the creative mode, we will find all kinds of islands: some offer us obstacle tests (Parkour), others offer battles in small spaces where we must build and edit (Box Fight), others offer races, and much more. Because of this variety, the creative mode is one of the most played.
