Claiming that this or another is the best Fortnite skin is highly subjective. For example, if a player really likes the Kratos costume, it may argue that it is the best because it is his favorite. And the player is right: to each his own. Therefore, from subjectivity, we analyze which are the best skins from different perspectives.

Epic Games: According to its rarity

Just like weapons or quests, Fortnite skins have a rarity that determines that one skin is more valuable than another. According to this scale, the skins would be ordered from best to worst:

  • Legendary (orange)
  • Epic (purple)
  • Rare (Blue)
  • Uncommon (green)
  • Common (gray)

However, some skins are not classified in any of these groups as they are characters from iconic franchises or even famous people from the real world. Which of these groups corresponds to the best skins? Again, the answer is subjective.

Some may say that the best ones are the characters of the Icons series, as they are the only ones based on real people. Others might argue that the best ones are from the Video Game Character series since Fortnite is a video game. And so we could go on arguing with Star Wars, Marvel, DC series, among others.

Competitive level

When we want to play Fortnite as competitively as possible, it may even occur to us to use a skin that lets us have an advantage. And some skins can give it to us.

One advantage that some players take advantage of is to take a skin of a female character. The female skins in Fortnite usually have a thinner body, which helps us to be hit much fewer bullets as the target is smaller.

Another strategy used by some players is to wear a skin that does not stand out too much or that can even blend in with the environment. A clear example is Groot, a Marvel character in the shape of a tree, who will hardly be detected if placed next to another tree. Perhaps by the time the opponent sees you, it is already too late.

According to its price

Whether a skin is more expensive or cheaper is a matter of debate. Many players appreciate an expensive skin more than a cheap one. In this classification, the skins we get with the battle pass would be the worst. The next least valuable would be those purchased for 1,200 V-Bucks, then 1,500, 2,000, and so on.

Which one is the best, and therefore the most expensive? The most expensive Fortnite skin is Galaxy and costs about $1000. Like other skins that are free with consoles and smartphones, this one was available with the purchase of a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 smartphone or a Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 tablet. And $1,000 was the estimated starting price of such devices. Owning the Galaxy skin is within the reach of very few.
