GTA 5 system requirements

GTA 5 is quite a demanding video game in terms of hardware requirements because of its high-quality graphics. Therefore, you should know that you’re going to need a very decent computer to be able to meet the minimum requirements which, according to its development studio Rockstar, are the following:

  • Operating system: it requires at least Windows Vista Service Pack 2, Windows 7 Service Pack 1, Windows 8 or Windows 8.1. All of the latter, in their 64-bit versions.
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600 at 2.4 GHz or AMD Phenom 9850 Quad-Core at 2.5 GHz.
  • RAM memory: 4 GB.
  • Graphics card: NVIDIA 9800 GT 1GB or AMD HD 4870 1 GB.
  • Hard drive storage space: 72 GB.

But if we want to play GTA V enjoying and making the most of all the features that the title is capable of offering in terms of graphics and playability, the best thing is to have a computer that comes along with the following recommended hardware settings:

  • Operating system: Windows 7 Service Pack 1, Windows 8 or Windows 8.1. All of the latter, in their 64-bit versions.
  • Processor: Intel Core i5 3470 at 3.2 GHz or AMD X8 FX-8350 at 4 GHz.
  • RAM memory: 8 GB.
