Shooters are back in fashion (just as if they had ever stopped being popular) thanks to the battle royale gaming mode that both PUBG and Fortnite have relaunched over the last few months. And here's a great alternative to these two titles with a hilarious result: Guns Royale.
Battle royale shooting game inspired by Minecraft
It's a shooter with graphics that imitate Minecraft, Mojang's sandbox game set in a world built with huge pixellated blocks and fat-headed characters. And that's precisely what we'll come across in this game with all the ingredients of any typical battle royale game: we'll be parachuted onto an island and we'll have to fight against the rest of players (real players or bots) to be the only users to survive.
Whilst exploring the territory, we'll come across buildings where we can hide and prepare our attacks, as well as all sorts of ammo, weapons, and elements to customize our character. And remember that even if you don't want to and you try to avoid the situation, in the end, you'll have to face up to your opponents: the map gets smaller and smaller every certain amount of time and there's nowhere to hide.
Play against gamers from all over the world or practice against bots in the offline mode.
- Fight against players online or against bots without an Internet connection.
- Find special weapons by inspecting the terrain.
- Huge pixellated block-like graphics.
- Unlock new characters as you make progress and increase your level.
It's a fun game although it could do with some improvements to both the control system and the game's view.
