The platform genre is one of the most exploited in the world of video games. That's why, when little gems like this come up, it's hard not to fall in love at first sight. A surreal and captivating journey

Combining a refreshingly dark visual aesthetic with touches of vintage, art deco, steampunk and hand drawing, Ignatius offers an interesting story and a disturbing experience. It all begins when the protagonist meets Vigo, the owner and director of a travelling cinema. The businessman invites him to watch a free movie, but the protagonist ends up absorbed by the screen and is transported to a parallel dreamlike cinematic reality.

Our mission will be, of course, to find the way to escape from this strange world painted in black and white. In order to do so, we will have to face arcade-like challenges and logic. That is, mixing the platform genre with puzzles.

To play the game we have two types of controls to choose from. We'll have to jump, move sideways and interact with the objects on the stage. In each level we will have to look for pieces of film to open the portal and fragments of the book of Vigo, where we will be able to know the history of the villain.

In addition, during our adventure through this surreal world full of strange creatures and disturbing corners, we will overcome all kinds of obstacles and fight against fearsome bosses. Without a doubt, this is a very cool game with a fantastic plastic aesthetic that vaguely resembles the drawings of Tim Burton and Edward Gorey.
