General Morden is always getting into trouble and he's back at it, reaching a suspicious agreement with a bunch of alien invaders. So who's going to kick his ass and save the day if it's not our favorite heroes? But the Peregrine Falcons squadron, with Tarma Roving and Marco Rossi, won't be alone this time around, as they'll receive help from Fiolina Germi and Eri Kasamato. We'll also receive some help from two non-playable characters such as the rescued prisoner Hyakutaro Ichimonji and Rumi Aikawa and her huge rucksack.

Just like in the rest of installments of this saga, your goal is to shoot at all the enemies that appear on your screen until you kill them all. There are loads of different weapons available, apart from the classic ones, such as firebombs and laser guns. Furthermore, your characters will ride classic vehicles (slugs) and a few other that appeared for the first time in this second installment:
- Camel Slug. A camel rode by a gunman.
- Slug Flyer. A plane with missiles and other ammo that we can crash to cause even more damage.
- SlugNoid. Evolved versions of gunmen carrying a cannon.
