Minecraft Server is basically a free alternative to Minecraft Realms with which you can create your own server within Minecraft's open world, so that you can play with your friends online and craft collaboratively.

Total control over your Minecraft world.

If you're fed up of playing alone in this sandbox game, with this software for Windows you can generate a totally customizable server, where you choose the rules and to which you can invite any user on your same local or domestic network.

What things can you configure with Minecraft Server

From the file that installs in the folder where you've launched the Minecraft Server .exe file, you can configure different options to create the server, however you want, with full control over banned, allowed and penalized gamers, as well as being able to send community messages to all of them at once:

  • Maximum amount of players per server.
  • Maximum height of the buildings.
  • Game mode.
  • Level type.
  • Difficulty level.
  • Map size.
  • Server name, IP and port.

Requirements and additional information:

  • Requires Minecraft.
  • Requires Windows XP or above.
  • Requires Java 1.6.0.
  • To be able to run the server, you have to open the EULA text file and accept the user conditions, changing the field false to true.
