You have to admit the success of mobile games that want to make you think. Yeah, we know that most of them are quite stupid, but that's not the case of Not Not - A Brain-Buster, as it offers you a personal challenge whilst your kill your spare time. It's easy to understand: we'll have to face up against different mental agility skills by swiping our finger around the screen in one direction or another depending on the instructions provided and before running out of time. Sounds simple, doesn't it?
Well, it isn't so. Each tiny puzzle gets faster and faster as you advance, which makes things more and more complicated. You'll have to be very fast when it comes to reading the screen and moving your finger if you want to overcome all the levels available. The instructions will also get harder and harder, so there's no time to lose with any nonsense.
Not Not - A Brain-Buster offers us two different game modes that bring more variety to the game. But only a bit: at the end of the day, the gameplay is very similar and the only difference is that one mode you can make mistakes and in the other one you can't:
- Classic Mode: the default mode. Complete a grid full of challenges, overcoming each one of them to access the next one.
- Infinite Mode: here you'll have to go as far as possible just like in Tetris. As we said, each new level brings more difficulty and you'll have to pay more attention.
The different levels have rather descriptive names depending on how the challenges are developed: negation, empty space, color, logic, color-blind, impossible, the lost door, the sequence, the liar... You can more or less guess what each level is about. The only negative aspect is the number of adverts and in-app purchases available but we're aware that these guys have to earn a living somehow.
