OpenTyrian is the open-source version of the classic Tyrian, a computer-based shoot 'em up from 1995. The mechanics of the game consists of piloting a ship while we automatically advance through levels full of enemies and threats while moving around and shooting.

Four full episodes, updates for the ship, plot, powerful enemies, plenty of action, no ads, or in-app shopping.

In this version of the game, the controls are completely tactile. Just tapping the screen will make our ship fire, and to move it, we will only have to drag our finger where we want it to go.

This game has three game modes with their respective final bosses (full game and arcade for one or two players), four episodes, and three difficulty levels. We will also be able to read the story and buy different weapons for our ship, being able to equip two at the same time.

This is a very cool app since the game remains almost unchanged with its retro graphics and music from the nineties. If you are one of those gamers who spent hours and hours playing the original game, now it is time to continue the adventure in our Android device.
