How many times have you spent the day out and you've run out of battery before the end of the evening? It's a nuisance having to ask around for a charger or begging the pub's waitress if she would be kind enough to charge your phone while you're having a beer. But thanks to Plugger this problem has a solution as this Android app tells us where we can charge our phone when we're running out of battery.

A map with charging points for your mobile phone.

This APK makes use of our geolocation to show us on a map all nearby places where we can find a public charging point. Furthermore, it works collaboratively, so you can add all the charging points you find on your way, and that other users may find useful in the future.

How to use Plugger to charge your phone?

There's not much mystery to it. As we said before, it uses our GPS to establish our position and show us on a map all nearby charging points, that we can also filter according to different criteria:

  • Price: whether they're paid, free or only free for customers.
  • Type of charge: Android cable, iPhone cable, quick charging, wireless charging, battery swap, etc.
  • Type of device: Android, iPhone 4, iPhone 5, iPhone 6, plug, etc.

As well as possible charging points, the app also shows you a short summary of your battery status with its charge level and the time left before running out. Therefore, you can calculate when to make use of the locations offered by the application, because remember: you won't be able to look for them once your smartphone switches off.

Requirements and additional information:

  • Minimum operating system requirements: Android 4.0.
  • The installation of the app by means of the APK file requires the activation of the "Unknown sources" option within Settings>Applications.
