Access your Windows files from Android
Accessing shared Windows files from Android is possible with SMB Plugin Ghost Commander. It's an add-on for the Ghost Commander explorer, which is useful for users that have a local network.
Access shared files on Windows from your Android device.
The CIFS protocol, previously known as SMB (Server Message Block), is used to share files (and printers) on a local network with Windows computers. To share files from Windows on your Android device (smartphone or tablet), you have to install SMB Plugin on Ghost Commander.
Your device on the network
To view the Windows computers or Samba servers connected to the network, once you have installed SMB Plugin Ghost Commander, you have to do the following:
- Access the "Location" menu.
- Press "Home".
- And access "Windows share" from the panel.
If your device isn't added to the work group, you must configure certain options such as the server, the route, the user and the password to enable access.
