Do you guys recall that futuristic video game from the 80s' in which we had to play a sort of violent sport on an ice rink, combining elements from hockey and handball? If you're growing old, you've probably played SpeedBall on your Atari, Amiga, Commodore 64 or Sega Master System. Well, we're sorry to disappoint you but this version for Android has nothing to do with that title by The Bitmap Brothers or with that racket and ball game you can purchase in any old sports shop.

A frenetic game that requires great reflexes

This SpeedBall is basically a casual game for Android with a plot that you can gather from its name. A ball will roll around a blue path full of obstacles at full throttle and we'll have to try to avoid them by swiping left and right in order not to crash into them. The game's speed is frenetic, to such an extent that each game usually lasts less than the advert we have to watch to continue playing.

An arcade game that doesn't give you a second to blink.

And that's it. The truth is that there's not much more to say about this game in APK format other than its simple entertainment proposal. As we add points to our score for advancing along the platform, we can acquire new skins for our ball to turn it into a football, a heart, an arrow, a flower or even a pokéball.

We can also get rid of all the annoying adverts by paying an in-app purchase and take part in the global ranking with the rest of the players if we access the game through our Google Play Games profile. All in all, a decent game to spend our free time although it can also be quite frustrating.

Requirements and additional information:

  • Minimum operating system requirements: Android 4.1.
  • Offers in-app purchases.
