If you're a gamer born between the end of the 70s' and the beginning of the 80s', the years that you've probably enjoyed playing video games the most, whether on a PC, video console or arcade machine, probably took place between the end of the 80s' and the beginning of the 90s'. Back then, those 8 and 16-bit arcade machines used to rule with their beautiful pixels and we hadn't even heard of polygonal graphics, sprites, and stuff like that.
Nintendo, SNK, and SEGA were producing real gems that, luckily enough, have now been rescued by modern platforms such as Android and iOS. A great example can be found in the collection re-edited by SEGA with all their classics that have been republished respecting their original essence.
The second part of one of the best beat'em up in history: Streets of Rage II
Although some time ago we could enjoy playing Streets of Rage for Android, now Streets of Rage 2 Classic is the second part that the Japanese company released back in 1992 for their Mega Drive video console and that we enjoyed in all sorts of amusement arcades.
We'll fight against Mr. X once again and we'll embark on a spiral of action and violence around the suburbs of New York City. With the typical atmosphere from an 80s' movie, we'll have to face up to loads of thugs that will set out to fight us.
These are the main features of this title included in the SEGA Forever collection:
- Four playable characters.
- Wide range of enemies and several final bosses.
- Eight different levels with different scenarios.
- Compatibility with HID gamepads.
- Possibility to save our games.
If you want to download a retro game for Android, don't hesitate to get hold of the APK of Streets of Rage 2, a game that's up there with Double Dragon, Shinobi, and Dragoninja as one of the best titles in the beat'em up genre.
