Everyone has had a coloring book when they were a kid. However, for some reason or another, we never used to complete them, leaving them unfinished before getting bored of those drawings. But now we can resort to apps of the likes of UNICORN - Number Coloring Book to keep ourselves entertained. What could possibly go wrong with a tool to color in cute drawings, called unicorn, developed by a company called AppsYouLove, and with an icon that represents that single-horned animal with rainbow colors? Absolutely nothing.
Creating modern digital art masterpieces is easier than ever.
Turn your drawings into digital art
Thanks to UNICORN, we'll be able to paint with our iPhone. How? Go to the gallery and choose the drawing that you like the most. There are simple ones and other more complicated illustrations but they're all designed with huge pixels. Some of the images are free whilst others require you to watch a video or even being a paid subscriber, which also allows you to remove the adverts.
Make time go flying by.
So, once you've chosen a drawing from your gallery, at the bottom of the screen you'll see a suggested color code. You'll have to paint each numbered square according to the color palette. To be able to paint, you'll have to zoom into the image so you'll be able to view the numbers larger. If you use the wrong color, your iOS device will vibrate to make sure you realize your mistake.
There are all sorts of pixellated drawings: animals, aliens, mythological creatures, instruments, daily objects, landscapes, sportsmen, monuments, emoticons... Although we can classify UNICORN as a coloring app for adults to help them to relax and relieve their stress, it's also a great system to teach kids numbers and colors, and to help them develop their motor skills.
