How to convert video formats with xVideoServiceThief

xVideoServiceThief is more than just a video downloading application. Actually, we can see it as a set of tools, including a user-friendly video converter. The downloads made with this application always keep the original file format. However, it is possible to apply an automatic conversion at the end of the transfer. How?

All you have to do is go to the xVideoServiceThief options by clicking on the More options button.

Go to the Basic section and look for the Output format section. Next to the statement, you will see a drop-down menu. Click on it to see all the options and choose the format that suits you best.

Additionally, you can choose the image quality and video resolution. Remember that both variables can affect the total file size, considerably reducing the free space in your computer's memory. We also recommend you to activate the Delete the original downloaded file after the conversion option.

Enabling this last option is important if you do not want to have duplicate files on your hard disk. When this function is enabled, xVideoServiceThief will delete the original file and only keep the file resulting from the conversion.

Among the formats available for converting your favorite videos, you will find WMV, MPEG1, MPEG2, MP4, MP4 HD, Apple iPod, Sony PSP, and 3GP. It is also possible to download only the audio of a video by selecting the MP3 option.

Finally, do not forget that you can disable the conversion by unchecking the box you see in the following image.

Use it to enable or disable conversion depending on the file you download. If you deactivate it, the application will get the original file and store it on your computer without applying a conversion.
