About me…

My name is Susana. Life has taken me to study, work, and live in several countries since the age of 12. I am now lucky enough to live in Madrid but, who knows what the future holds, right? I like to travel, so I will not hesitate to move again when the opportunity arises. I work full time as a translator and interpreter, my working languages being English, Spanish, and French. I could not picture myself doing anything other than translating: it is an exciting job (no, really it is, I promise) that allows for great flexibility as it can be done at any time from any place provided you have a laptop.

In my spare time, I like to read, mostly fiction (I read enough factual literature at work). Anything by David Lodge, Paul Auster, Javier Marías, or Fred Vargas will keep me glued to the book from cover to cover (that is a figure of speech, I read on Kindle). I love skiing, not just for the sport, but also for the contact with nature it provides. I like to swim too.

Words are my job, my hobby, and my passion.
