Just by creating a Dropbox account, we get 2 GB of storage for free. However, today this amount may be somewhat low, especially if we start using the service regularly. Moreover, the company lets us obtain more storage space for free if we invite other users to join Dropbox.

To start inviting other users and benefit from this feature, open the side menu of the Dropbox Android application.

Now, the invite has been sent. It only remains to wait for the person we invited to create an account. Repeat the same process to invite other users. For each user who accepts the invitation, our storage capacity will be increased by 500 MB. A total of 32 users can be invited so you can receive up to 16 GB of storage. This bonus is added to the initial 2 GB of storage. Therefore, our Dropbox Basic account would have a total of 18 GB.

On the other hand, if we have a Dropbox Plus or Professional account, each user we invite will provide an additional 1 GB. That way, we can get up to 32 extra GB in our account.

Bonus: Get an additional 250 MB free

In addition to the invitations, there is another way to get storage space for free. Dropbox gives us 250 MB if we complete an initial task list when creating our account. You can only get this extra by using a desktop browser. However, with a little trick, you can do it from Android.

Open Chrome and tap on the three-point menu in the upper right-hand corner.
