With FreeOTP Authenticator for Android you can generate ephemeral passwords for your logins for different online accounts as an extra security layer

All of us use applications on our smartphone that require us to log in as a user by means of an email address or phone number. Well, sometimes it's not safe to share that information and that's why it's necessary to download an application of the likes of FreeOTP Authenticator.

A second layer for your online accounts

This application generates single-use passwords for mobile devices that we can use together with our usual password. What does that mean? That will make our account almost unhackable. These passwords can be generated even in flight mode.

FreeOTP is compatible with the main user accounts of online services such as Google, Facebook, Twitter, Evernote, GitHub... whilst it also allows us to work with services that implement TOTP and HOTP protocols.

By the way, the app is an open-source development created by the team behind the distribution of Linux Red Hat.

Requirements and additional information:
  • Minimum operating system requirements: Android 4.0.
