Surf the web protected by a VPN
To guarantee our privacy on the Internet, one of the main resources we can resort to is browsing via VPN. For this purpose, we have different apps available for Android that provide this service, including AdGuard VPN.
Your privacy is safe
As you already know, a VPN provides access to the Internet through a proxy server, which channels the data traffic of your connection in such a way that the IP shown is that of the server and not your real one. This means, and this is what all these VPN apps are all about, that if you are browsing from Spain but you have connected to a server in Frankfurt, the IP shown will be linked to the German city.
The main use of this is, therefore, to protect our identity, but there are two others that are very important and can be useful depending on the case:
- It makes it possible to access content blocked in your region (in this case we could see content accessible to Germans).
- Encryption of the data traffic that our device receives and sends.
In the case of the app we have here, it offers free VPN connection on servers located in different parts of the world (it offers others that are paid, it is true, but for that you will have to buy the full version of the app). To do so, simply search for them in the list and choose the one that suits you best. It also has a simple interface design, so anyone who is at least minimally concerned about their privacy and even if they do not have advanced knowledge of networks, will be able to benefit from the advantages provided by a tool like this.
Requirements and additional information:
- Minimum operating system requirements: Android 7.0.
- Offers in-app purchases.
With a degree in History, and later, in Documentation, I have over a decade of experience testing and writing about apps: reviews, guides, articles, news, tricks, and more. They have been countless, especially on Android, an operating system...
