One could think that it seems complicated to turn instant messaging up a notch, but Talko has managed to do so. This is an app conceived to send voice messages, although it also allows us to exchange text messages with any contact and store them in a cloud backup. The recipient can listen to them and answer whenever he/she wants.
What's so special about Talko?
We had already seen voice messages integrated into applications like WhatsApp, but what makes Talko different is that messages are stored online so we can keep a complete log of the latter, just like a conversation history.
Just like having all your calls on paper.
As well as supporting video calls, group conversations and sending files, it also comes along with another noteworthy aspect: how the messages are organized, as they can be tagged and distinguished with colors and bookmarks, being able to file and organize our conversations perfectly.
Ray Ozzie, ex Microsoft executive, is behind the creation of Talko, which can now be downloaded free for iPhone.
