Playing your Steam games on your mobile device is an excellent alternative if you are going to be away from your PC and want to continue enjoying your favorite titles. In fact, there are several advantages for those who follow this path. It is important to know that all the weight of the performance will fall on your computer since, on your cellphone, you will simply be doing a sort of "retransmission" of what is happening on it. And to enjoy this function, you will only need:
- Have Steam Link installed on your PC
- A mobile device with Steam Link
- A local network connection
Let's see how it is done.
Set up Steam on your computer
The first thing you will need to do is to find the Steam program on your computer or laptop and run it.

In the main interface, look for the Steam button in the menu located at the top right of the screen.

You will see that a submenu is displayed. Here, you will have to click on the Settings option, as shown in the following image.

A new window with Steam settings will open. In the left menu, look for the Remote Play tab.

Here, you will have to activate the Activate Remote Play tab and click OK. Reopen this menu and make sure that the box is still checked.

Now, it will be time for you to take your mobile or tablet to do the other half of the work. Watch out! Leave the Remote Play menu we have just reviewed open on your computer, as we will use it later.
Download and install Steam Link on your mobile
You can safely download Steam Link on your Android device through the servers of Malavida. Just tap on the following link.
After tapping, you will be redirected to a page like the one shown below and simply tap on the green button.

Now, you must confirm the download by repeating the previous action and selecting the Download option again.

The download will start instantly. Wait for this process to finish and open the application you just downloaded.

After tapping the Open button, you will now need to confirm the Steam Link installation by tapping Install.

At the end of the Steam Link installation, you will be able to enter directly to the program interface by tapping the Open button.

Setting up Steam Link correctly
When you open Steam Link for the first time, the only option you will have is to tap the Get Started button, so let's go with it.
Click on Get Started
At this point, you will be able to select which type of controls you want to use when playing your video games. For this case, we have chosen touch controls.

You will now see the Connect to Computer screen. The Rescan button will not be useful here, so you will have to tap on Other Computer. (Note: It is important that before performing this step, you make sure that your computer and your mobile device are connected to the same internet network).

A new screen will appear where you will see a code like the one shown in the following image.
Use the Steam Link code
Remember the Remote Play configuration we left open on your computer? Now, it is time to use it. To pair your mobile and your PC, click on PAIR STEAM LINK.

A new text box will open. Here, you must enter the number where it has appeared on your cellphone.

Go back to your Android and continue with the process. Steam Link will ask you to confirm the device you are pairing your phone to, so tap on it.

The application will start running a connection test, which will take some time depending on your internet speed.

Once this analysis is finished, Steam Link will show you a box with the result of the analysis, as you can see in the following image.

Now, you are ready to access your Steam library from your mobile! However, before claiming victory, we must tell you that it is possible that when the connection test is completed, the following warning will be displayed.

This does not mean that you will not be able to play. In our case, we tested it with a Galaxy Z Flip, and although this warning appeared, there was no problem running the video games.
Play your Steam games on your mobile
From now on, every time you log in to Steam Link, you will be able to see the summary of your configuration and the Start Playing button. Of course, to start playing tap on it.
Select the option Start Playing
The next thing you will see is the Steam interface, where you will have to search for your video games in the menu on the left. Use the arrow keys to move, the A button to accept, and the B button to go back.

In this case, we have gone to the Games tab, where all the games that are ready to be executed appear. Choose your favorite. Now, we have decided to play For the King.
Choose a video game from your library
Move with the arrow keys to the Play button located to the right of the main image of your video game and press the A button.
Select the option Play
After doing so, you will see the Launch Options menu appear. Simply select the Play For The King option -or the game that corresponds to your situation- and start playing.

Before we finish, we take this opportunity to clarify that your PC and mobile device will no longer need to be connected to the same network after the initial pairing. That means you will be able to play from anywhere, as long as you have left Steam open on your computer. Also, remember that when you start Steam Link again, it may take a minute for it to properly connect to your computer. So be patient in those moments. We hope we have helped you!
