NetGuard is a useful firewall tool that allows you to limit or directly block the Internet access on behalf of your apps, whether individually or all at once, depending on the settings you choose. With the latter, you'll obtain certain advantages such as reducing your consumption of mobile data so you don't run out of MBs or saving on our battery consumption, one of the most appreciated assets for any smartphone or tablet user. In fact, we can also use it to improve our privacy and avoid uncontrolled data leaks.
How NetGuard works
Once you install the app, it will detect all the applications installed on our system and will show them on a list. On the upper part, you can see the classic toggle that will cut off the Internet access for all apps if you enable it. You can also adjust this setting individually for each app by exploring the list and pressing the corresponding icon on the right-hand side: one to disable the data usage and another to disable the use of WiFi networks. You can also disable both options if you wish.
By pressing the name of each app, you'll open an advanced options menu where you can establish certain Internet access conditions, enable an access log or activate notifications to know at all times which apps are behaving strangely.
