Creat short videos that are played in loops
Instagram became tremendously popular thanks to the fact that it allowed us to apply different filters and effects very easily to our photos to then share them online as if it were a social network. It became such a hit that it was soon purchased by Facebook and it is now one of the most important social networks in the world, used on a regular basis by both individuals and brands and companies that use this platform to promote their products.
In order to extend its functions but without saturating the app with new menus, they published several spin-off applications such as Layout to do photo remixes or this Boomerang from Instagram to create short videos and compete against other services, such as the long-dead Vine or especially Snapchat.
What is Boomerang from Instagram and how to use it
Well, as we mentioned before, it's an application to create short videos but with a major particularity: the latter are viewed in loops backward and forward. For such purpose, we have to find something or someone in movement or create a video selfie:
- Step 1: choose your phone's front or rear camera depending on the kind of boomerang you want to create.
- Step 2: press the only button on the interface.
- Step 3: the application will take a burst of 10 photos which we'll be turned into a video. The latter will be played in a loop forward and backward.
- Step 4: save the creation in your gallery or share it online through Instagram or Facebook, for instance.
Have fun creating short loop videos and sharing them with your mates.
The best thing about this service is that we don't need to be an Instagram user to use the application: it can be used without signing up or creating accounts. It also stands out for its extreme simplicity. As we mentioned above, there's only one button to record... and another three to share. What else could you want?
It's one of the most downloaded photography apps for Android, therefore, if you download and install its APK, you'll be able to find many more tricks and tips to make the most of its extensive features.
