There is no doubt that TikTok has revolutionized the social network eco-system with its system of short videos arranged vertically and that it has taken companies like Facebook by surprise, who see their empire under threat (well, a little bit). And, as you would expect, plenty of alternatives to TikTok have sprung up, such as LIKEit.
Short videos on any topic
It is a short video app where we will be able to enjoy content uploaded by other users and also share our own creations. We will be able to find videos on just about anything: jokes, home improvement, dancing, sport, fashion, technology... simply introduce keywords and hashtags into the search function and find anything at all that may be of interest to you.
The format will ring a bell: you browse the videos that have been shared and arranged vertically by scrolling up. On the right, you will find options for commenting and sharing as well as music and access to the creator's profile page.
It doesn't actually offer anything that you haven't already seen on TikTok. However, there are developers that have jumped at the chance to create alternatives, at least partly because of the restrictions on TikTok in countries like India and the US.
