One of the most advanced browsers in the world is Safari. Although it has a somewhat discrete user percentage, the browser by Apple is one of the most interesting and that provides more innovations. From an interface that is totally integrated with the system to a speed that is awesome.

The native browser for Apple's computers

Safari includes a website reader that optimizes the size and the visualization of any area with the idea in mind that the bothersome banners and unnecessary elements don't bother the user in the least, and all this with practically total compatibility with HTML5 (including the new video possibilities of this standard), the inclusion of geolocation and the promise of a better performance when it comes to loading a website and the processing of instructions in JavaScript.

Many Mac users don't think twice when it comes to using it.

Even though Google is the ever-present search engine, Safari includes Bing and Yahoo! to carry our searches in any of them. And of course, it is possible to increase its capabilities by means of add-ons and plug-ins.

On the other hand, Safari is one of the few browsers that manage to pass the ACID3 test with a result of 100/100, thus indicating its great compatibility. Furthermore, it makes the user's life easier by including a favorites feature that's very optimized (and can be synchronized with MobileMe), using the Cover Flow interface and allowing us to read RSS feeds directly on the browser.

Requirements and additional information:

  • It only works on Mac OS X Snow Leopard.
