Google Play offers purchases to users that pay with real money. If our device falls into the wrong hands, we could end up paying for applications, games, and other content that we have not requested. Because of this, Google offers its users the possibility to activate an authentication method, and thus, avoid unwanted purchases. To enable the obligation to enter our credentials with each order, open Google Play, and then, its main menu, by tapping on the three horizontal lines. They are located in the upper left corner of the screen.

Now, locate the Settings button to access the application store settings.

Under the heading User controls, you will see the option Require authentication for purchases. Tap on it to customize the behavior of Google Play in this regard.

In the pop-up window, you will see several options. We recommend that you activate For all purchases through Google on this device. With these settings activated, it will be necessary to confirm the identity of the user in each purchase that is made. On the contrary, if you make purchases very often, you can select Every 30 minutes. This second option demands our account credentials every 30 minutes.

Additionally, it is recommended that you activate credential verification using biometric sensors. This way, you can buy by scanning your fingerprint or through facial recognition. Tap on Biometric authentication.
