The Ancient Age is one of the most exciting periods in human history. During this period, we find legendary civilizations that continue to inspire great admiration for how little we know in some aspects about them, and at the same time, for all that has been left of them: Egypt, Rome, Persia, Phoenicia, Carthage, and more.

A real-time strategy game set in ancient times

0 A.D. is a free game that takes us back to a year that never existed (remember that it goes back to 1 B.C. to 1 A.D.) and in which we will be able to put ourselves in command of the military armies of one of the civilizations that more than 2,000 years ago fought to extend its domination over the others. The idea is based on games like Age of Empires II and tries to offer a realistic setting by taking care of historical details as much as possible.

These are the main characteristics that we are going to find:

  • Advanced and detailed graphic appearance.
  • Maps generated randomly but based on geographical and morphological aspects according to the time.
  • Careful historical details.
  • Land and naval battles.
  • Different factions: Carthaginians, Celts, Greeks, Iberians, Persians, Romans, successors of Alexander the Great and Mauryas.

We will lead an army and have the military units of the time, trying to subdue our adversaries and conquer their territory to build our empire.
