The main character in Bastion is The Kid, who is sleeping after a catastrophe has turned his world upside down. After waking up, he finds out he is on top of what seems to be a flying rock, that will grow as you walk around it. At the same time, a narrator will tell you the story and indicate the steps you have to follow. Your mission will be to guide The Kid in his mission to manage to put the world back into shape.

A story that takes place in real time

One of the most original aspects of Bastion is the way in which the narrator describes all the actions of the main character. For example, if you are at a crossing and you have to choose which road to take, the narrator will describe the tension that is building and will explain the motives of the decisions that you take. Thus, you will be hooked by the story in a very special way.
