Office for Android's basic version lets us automatically access Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. And what can we do with each of them? In case you have never used Office and do not know it, let us explain it to you right now:

  • Word: is the Office word processor, it lets you create all kinds of text documents.
  • Excel: it lets you create spreadsheets, accounting entries, invoices, and more.
  • PowerPoint: it is the tool designed to create Microsoft slide shows.

All these tools provide us with everything we need to start working. We can even transfer files between our PC and our phone to continue editing them when we are not in front of the computer. If we connect our Microsoft account with it, we can work with the documents we have stored in OneDrive, and we can subscribe to Office 365 for additional features.

However, if you want to use different Office apps individually, or if you feel that these three apps are not enough, you can independently install the following ones:

  • Outlook: is Microsoft's email software, integrated within the professional Office suite for personal computers.
  • OneNote: is Microsoft's application for quick notes, and is a direct competitor of Evernote and Google Keep.
  • OneDrive: is Microsoft's cloud storage service, as a competitor to Google Drive.
  • Skype and Skype Business: two fast communication tools, enabling real-time chats and group video calls.
  • Office Lens: crops and converts images written on physical media into readable text, and then export it to OneNote, among other options.
  • Yammer: is a tool that works as a social network, designed to let a whole company keep in touch and collaborate at all times.
  • Delve: is an application designed to search and share documents in Office 365, as well as to manage the user's cloud profile.
  • Teams: is an instant messaging tool for business teams, a direct competitor to similar services such as Slack, and an upgraded version of Skype for Business.
  • Stream: is a service for sharing corporate videos online.
