Office 365 allows us to install the latest version of the office suite par excellence developed by Microsoft on our Mac computers. We're talking about all the applications of Office 2016 now adapted to the cloud.
Versions of Office 365 for Mac
- Office 365 Business: with a current subscription price of 8.80€ per user per month that means just over 100 euros per year. In the case of not wanting to acquire a yearly commitment because you only want to try it for a month, it would then cost 10.70€ per month. The prices don't include VAT. It offers you the possibility to download and install the 2016 version of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Notes, and Publisher on 5 desktop computers and smartphones, as well as 1TB of free space on the cloud by means of OneDrive. However, Access is not available for Mac, only for PC.
- Office 365 Business Premium: which incorporates all the above-mentioned features but other extras aimed at businesses such as an Exchange email with capacity for 50 GB, a customized domain for your business email, Microsoft Teams, based on a workspace for the members of a team or company to be able to chat, and other tools such as Skype for Business for video conferences. In this case, the price is obviously more expensive with an annual plan of 10.50€ per month, or 12.70€ per month if you don't want to purchase a yearly plan. Once again, prices without taxes.
The best alternative for companies that need Office applications, online storage and shared use of files on the cloud.
So, this version of the office suite isn't free?
You might not believe us but Microsoft Office has never been free and probably never will be. After downloading and installing the product, you'll need to get hold of an activation code for this 365 version.
In fact, if you're a Mac user, you probably don't even need this office suite as there are plenty of other more affordable and even free options that can cover your needs in the office field.
