The definitive cross between Space Invaders and Pokémon
The Spirit Bomb studio invites us once again to participate in a monster-collecting adventure, but with a 180º turn. Now the battles are being fought in the sky. This game of ships and shots is the closest thing to a modern version of a Martian game with a lot of adorable monsters that will help us destroy our enemies. And it's very cute!
Martians and collectible monsters in one game
If you played the legendary Pop'n TwinBee video game, this title will vaguely remind you of those legendary Super Nintendo games. And that only says good things about Sky Champ.
Just when we thought we'd seen everything about collectible monsters, yet another game comes along to surprise us. And this time it broke the mold, because it offers us a completely new and original perspective. Plus, the fact that this game is a galactic shoot 'em up in the traditional style... only here we have to collect endearing and fierce monsters (called Okimons and Pettomons, not to be confused with Pokémons and Digimons) to help us accomplish our mission.

In this game we will control a flying monster and, from atop its back, shoot all the enemies that emerge. Our goal is to keep them all at bay until we reach the final boss of the level and do the same.
To play the game we just move our monster around the screen to attack and dodge, since the shot is automatic. We will also have power-ups and equipment that will help us to be more deadly and turn the screen into a horror vacui of explosions and shots.
The games are played from an aerial perspective that gives the sweet aftertaste of those classic arcade games. However, the characteristic element of this game is the possibility of recruiting flying creatures and evolving them, as if they were Pokémons.
The technical side is excellent, with some very cool graphics and a kickin' soundtrack. Enjoy the habit of collecting monsters from a whole new perspective.
