Smash Champs is a peculiar action fighting game in which players don't have to fight. It basically is an evolved version of the classic Fruit Ninja with some elements from the Kung Fu Panda movies.

Before you get into the fray, you must pick a champion among six possible ones, including a polar bear, a crocodile, and a gorilla (interestingly, the only female character is a fox that throws kisses). There are two of each type: earth, fire, and shadow. Some have an advantage over others, which is essential in combat.

Your job as a training hog is to throw balls to your warrior, who will have to hit it by executing different martial arts techniques. In this sense, the mechanics are exactly the same as Fruit Ninja, as you must hit all the green balls by clicking and sliding your finger on the screen while avoiding the bombs.

Step into the shoes of a trainer, prepare your fights, and lead your Champs to victory against your friends.

After completing the training, your warrior will go on to fight with another character. Your job is to enjoy the show, as the combat takes place automatically... which is a shame because the graphics are amazing and make you want to participate.

This game offers a very original and entertaining experience and is, without a doubt, worth trying. Although, in the end, it's still a much-embellished version of Fruit Ninja.
