The tidy universe created by J.R.R. Tolkien around his literary work serves as the setting for The Lord of the Rings: Rise to War, in its original title, which, as its name suggests, is based on his most outstanding work, The Lord of the Rings (with permission from The Hobbit, of course).

A strategy game in Middle-earth

The Lord of the Rings: Rise to War takes us to the dispute for the mythical ring in the universe created by the British writer in which we can face the different factions fighting for it. Aesthetically it must be said that it has been inspired in many aspects in the film saga directed in his day by Peter Jackson.

It has been the NetEase studio who has developed this military strategy game in real time, in which we will have to conquer territories without losing sight of all those logistical aspects that will support us, such as buildings and fortifications or money that will support our war campaigns. We will not control the combats directly, but we will dispose our troops on the field, making decisions that will test us against the rest of the players who will take sides.

These are the main features and functions offered:

  • Create your army with characters and units created from those that appear in the saga The Lord of the Rings: spearmen, archers, knights, wizards, dragons...
  • Create a settlement that will serve as a base to conquer the territory.
  • Establish alliances with other players and create your own faction.
  • Explore Middle-earth and discover the world created by Tolkien in his novels.
  • Enjoy quality graphics and animations.
