Zombies: a great reason to run

If you like going out for a run to keep fit, you've probably heard that running is for cowards. And they might be right, except if you're being hunted down by hordes of zombies. In the case, running is more than justified. And that's precisely what this Zombies, Run! is all about, a fitness and workout app that encourages you to run by putting behind you an army of undead eager to eat your brain for dinner.

An app for runners that combines gaming and training

With the idea that in nature there are only two kinds of runners, those that chase food and those that don't want to become food, this app turns us into the first element of the food chain. Combining a classic fitness app and an augmented reality game, we'll be motivated by a horde of zombies chasing us and setting our pace. Thus, it will be easier for us to reach our time and distance goals if we don't want them to catch us.

However, that's not all there is to it: this idea was struck up by the writer Naomi Alderman who has given each race a plot so that both the reason to run and the music we listen to will comply with the same context. In other words, our workout will become a game that includes different missions such as collecting supplies to return to our base.
