The release date still has a huge question mark but millions of gamers from all over the world are waiting impatiently to download Fortnite for Android. Especially since Epic Games has opened the pre-registration stage to receive a notification on their phones as soon as the APK file is available to be downloaded.
The action game that's causing an uproar
There's no need to say much about this game that in 2017 has become a mass phenomenon and that in 2018 is consolidating as the best game of the year with millions of dollars of income from players that take part in its all versus all combats in battle royale mode, with millions of other users watching them play through streams on Twitch and other similar services. In other words, an action-packed game in which only one can win: the last player standing.
Its greatest rival is PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, abbreviated as PUBG, which offers us a more serious aspect as Fortnite's graphics are more inspired by comics and cartoons (similarly to Blizzard's Overwatch).
The version for Android smartphones and tablets isn't too different to those editions we can play on iPhone, Windows PC, Mac, PS3, PS4 or Xbox. The online gameplay is exactly the same but with different controls. This can be a disadvantage when facing up to someone playing on a video console or computer... but you can always connect a Bluetooth gamepad to your mobile device.
A crossover between a shooter game and Minecraft packed into a battle royale game that's about to land on Android.
In other words, here you'll also be parachuted onto a land in which you'll have to learn how to survive all by yourself with the help of the different elements you'll come across. So choose your hero, customize him or her however you want, build a sold shelter, craft some good tools, and set out to kill your enemies. Remember that this is like in the Highlander movie: there can be only one. Anyhow, during your adventure, you can build alliances with other players to face up to the strongest rivals.
So, when's Fortnite out for Android? Well, it was released for certain Samsung Galaxy devices (S7 / S7 Edge, S8 / S8+, S9 / S9+, Note 8, Note 9, Tab S3, Tab S4) on August 9th, 2018 and will be available for the rest of Android phones about a month later. Furthermore, it can't be downloaded straight from Google Play as we'll have to go directly to the official Epic Games site or the South Koren company's own store: Galaxy Apps... at least for the time being. You can also follow the developer's Twitter and Facebook to keep up with the latest news, as well as our own social networks as we'll tell you as soon as we've got the APK up and running. In the meantime, you can continue playing on your PC or video console.
What's new in the latest version
The new version of Fortnite adds Events with a wide range of online competitions that users can access through the game. It also incorporates a new trap called Mounted Turret, from where we can shoot unlimited ammo with the risk of possible overheating. In turn, it also improves the game's stability and fixes bugs.
