Free cloud storage service developed by Yandex
Nowadays, we generate so many gigabytes and terabytes of information that on many occasions, removable hard drives aren't enough. And there only accessible if we carry them around with us. To solve this problem, we can make use of cloud storage services. The majority of companies, such as Google or Dropbox, offer us an amount of space for free but once you use up that space, if you want to continue using it, you have to pay. The Russian giant, Yandex, couldn't fall behind and has decided to offer its own platform to store data on the cloud, Yandex.Disk for Android.
Transfer data from your phone to your computer and vice-versa.
How to download from Yandex.Disk?
How this app works isn't too different to others of the same style that you probably know. You can establish an automatic file upload system (only via WiFi or via WiFi+Data) so that you don't lose a single one of them, even if you lose or break your device. That's very useful, for instance, for the photos taken with your phone. But if you want to download one of your files, just select it within the app and tap 'download'. Thus, you'll always be able to access your files. Other functions available are:
- Share the Yandex link or the original file.
- Edit files.
- Rename files.
- Move and copy files.
- Open them with other application.
- Copy them to the folder of available files without an Internet connection (using the airplane icon).
Your files will be completely safe, even if your phone or tablet gets lost or broken.
The system is fast and intuitive. You can try it out by installing the APK files on your Android and taking a look for yourself. To check the prices and rates, the best thing you can do is go to the official web, as there might be some kind of discount or offer that you may be interested in. The first ten gigabytes are free, after that, you'll have to pay.
