Bitmoji is the Snapchat proposal to create avatars and profile pictures. With this feature, you can design a drawing that looks like you and use it in your Snapcode, in your stories, or in other sections of the application. By default, when creating a Snapchat account, no Bitmoji avatar is configured. Rather, it is necessary to create it from scratch. In the following lines, we explain all the steps you need to take to create your own avatar on Snapchat.
First, tap on Create My Bitmoji.
Start creating the Bitmoji
Fit your face into the circle, using the front camera of the device. Next, select a gender.
Choose your gender
After analyzing your facial features, Snapchat will create some Bitmoji models that you can use to get started. If none of them suit you, use the Plus (+) symbol to design it from scratch.
Use the camera to get the Bitmoji
In the Bitmoji editor, you will see different categories, including the hairstyle, eyes, mouth, and other facial features. Navigate between the different sections to create your avatar little by little.
Customize the Bitmoji
Do not forget that you can also customize the clothes of your Bitmoji, adapting them to the style you like.
Choose an outfit
When you have finished, tap on the last category on the right. There, tap on Save or Save Avatar indistinctly to save the changes.
Save the avatar
Your profile will now be linked to a Bitmoji.
Result of the Bitmoji
The 3D version of your Bitmoji will appear in the header of your profile. By following the steps mentioned here, you will also have created a drawing. Both types of avatars are used for different purposes. They are used to create animations that you can send in chats or to the story or even include your Bitmoji into the Snapchat code.
