Move your fingers in the air and manage to control some of the most popular applications on your Mac thanks to ControlAir. You can control them even if they're running in the background! Turn down the volume, mute, pause, skip the song that's playing... these are just some of the things you'll be able to do.

Programs compatible with gesture controls

For the time being, you can use gesture controls for the following programs (the majority of which are related to multimedia playback):

  • iTunes.
  • Spotify.
  • VLC.
  • Rdio.
  • QuickTime Player.
  • VOX.

In order for the application to work, you need to install a camera that will take care of capturing your gestures. On the other hand, you have to be between 30 centimeters and 1.5 meters away from device. Finally, you'll have to configure the app from the settings to make sure that the camera's alignment is correct.

  • Requires Mac OS X 10.9 or above with a 64-bit processor.
  • Requires the installation of a camera.
