The years we spend at high school can be quite terrible. Popularity contests, teen years, laughing at the weakest members of the community, belittlement of the clever ones... But you probably haven't been through anything similar to what we're shown in American movies and series, and now also books, songs, and video games. Bully was a classic released back in 2006 for PC and video console; it was later re-edited in 2008 under the name of Bully: Scholarship Edition. Now, ten years later, it has been relaunched for Android and iPhone as Bully: Anniversary Edition.
Face up to bullies, cope with the pressure from teachers, beat the athletes, play pranks, date the girl, and survive a whole year at the worst high school you can think of.
This game places us in the shoes of Jimmy Hopkins, a 15-year-old kid with loads of attitude problems as well as alopecia. He's got a complicated relationship with his mother and he's not too good at school. And that's when he arrives at the corrupt and crumbling prep school, Bullworth Academy, a dream come true for the characters of Mean Girls. That's where he gets bullied, and due to the indifference of his teachers, he'll resort to violence to survive with his slingshot.
So claim justice with your baseball bat, pass all your exams, beat all the athletes in their favorite competitions, flirt with the most popular girl, be the first one to dissect a frog in biology class, defend the smart-asses from the bullies, help a flying squirrel to defeat his enemies, cope with the teachers... All in all, survive a year at a horrible school.
Challenge your friends to arcade-style mini-games in which the players will face up to each other in class.
Weapons at everyone's reach
Violence will become an every-day circumstance for Jimmy, although always from a realistic and innocent point of view. Therefore, you'll be able to make use of all the following weapons:
- Chip launcher.
- Itching powder.
- Stink bomb.
- Fire crackers.
- Marble bag.
- Digital photo camera.
- Rubber-band ball.
- Dozen of eggs.
- 'Kick my ass' sign.
- Volcano 4000.
- Baseball bat.
The latest versions have solved different problems when changing the game's platform. You can download and install the game from the Play Store, but you'll have to pay first as it costs about 6 or 7 dollars.
